When attempting to log into P6 connected to an Oracle XE database, the message displays "Unable to connect to database. Would you like to configure the connection now?". Stepping through the configuration process fails with the following error:
Bad public user name or password. Database Server Error: ORA-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Launch P6 and login.
- Receive message "Unable to connect to database", click OK.
- Step through the database connection configuration process.
- Configuration fails with the reported error.
