Installed SSL Cert Does Not Show "u,u,u" Flags (Doc ID 1560268.1)

Goal

Messaging Server 7u4-26.01(7.0.4.26.0) 64bit (built Jul 13 2012)

Trying to install a SSL certificate to replace an expiring one. The certificate is imported without errors, but the trustargs can't be changed despite running:
# /usr/sfw/bin/certutil -M -t "u,u,u" -n renewed_certname -d /opt/sun/comms/messaging64/config

Original working one: old_certname u,u,u
New non-working one: renewed_certname ,,
