Last updated on MARCH 21, 2019

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the Network Element IDs are populated on the components in the Network System and the locations are reversed while creating the Bandwidth connection, the Bandwidth design block of the child virtual connection displays the Network Element Id value in the EQPT TYPE/FACDESG column against the incorrect location/component.

This issue was seen in 6.2.1b258 and  b296.

Steps to see the issue :

1)      Make a network System .Make the Connection from L1 (which is having HIGHER CILLI) to L2 which  is having LOWER CILLI.Associate a circuit  with A loc as LOWER CILLI and Z loc as HIGHER CILLI .

Add an IP as the Network element Id on the L1 side.

2)      Save the Network System.Open a child circuit  design of the L2 side.

3)      Note that the IP has been displayed on the wrong side . i.e on the L2 side .Actually it should show on the L1 side
