Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Profitability Management (PFT), and/or Asset Liability Management (ALM), in an environment that uses two Websphere servers, the "As of Date" displayed in Application Preferences becomes out of sync with the AS_OF_DATE stored in the table REV_APP_USER_PREFERENCES.

For example, a user changes the As of Date in Application Preferences from 1/31/2013 to 2/28/2013.  The AS_OF_DATE in REV_APP_USER_PREFERENCES changes to 02/28/2013 correctly.  However, several days later, when the user logs in again, they notice that the As of Date in Application Preferences is set back to 1/31/2013.  The AS_OF_DATE in REV_APP_USER_PREFERENCES is still 02/28/2013.  The interface and REV_APP_USER_PREFERENCES are now out of sync.

This can result in a user running a process with the wrong As of Date.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to Funds Transfer Pricing > FTP Maintenance > Application Preferences and set As of Date = 01/31/2013.
  2. Query REV_APP_USER_PREFERENCES for the user.  As of Date = 01/31/2013.
  3. Modify FTP Application Preferences to set As of Date = 02/28/2013 and Apply.
  4. Query REV_APP_USER_PREFERENCES for user.  As of Date = 02/28/2013.
  5. Log out and close the browser session.
  6. Log into application navigate to FTP Application Preference.  As of Date = 01/31/2013
  7. Query REV_APP_USER_PREFERENCES for user.  As of Date = 02/28/2013.

The user interface and REV_APP_USER_PREFERENCES are out of sync.
