How to Find Control Plans that have Explicitly Mapped Holiday Entries to Node Exits (Doc ID 1564585.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 2.4.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

The DOY node (Day of the Year), has two default exits; one exit is taken if the current day is not a holiday in the configured Holiday Set, and the other is taken if the current day is.

It is possible to also add extra exits and specifically map holiday entries to these new exits in order to perform different service logic during specific holidays.  For example, all calls may be free on New Years day, but half price on all other holidays.  This unfortunately results in the in ability to remove any explicitly mapped Holiday Entries from the Holiday Set.

This article will cover how to identify which Control Plan(s) have explicitly mapped a Holiday Entry from a Holiday Set to a specific exit and is therefore blocking the removal of the Holiday Entry from its Holiday Set.
