"Loops Allowed" Flag in the Start Node Gets Overwritten by Older CPE Instances (Doc ID 1565235.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

In NCC (Network Charging and Control), the "Loops Allowed" checkbox in the Start node of a Control Plan is being set/unset unbeknownst to the user.

If the "Loops Allowed" checkbox is set, it can go by unnoticed.  However if the checkbox becomes unchecked and the Control Plan uses loops, then error messages will pop up upon the compilation/saving of the Control Plan alerting of the loops:

Installation of newer versions of NCC, 4.4.0+.
