"Loops Allowed" Flag in the Start Node Gets Overwritten by Older CPE Instances (Doc ID 1565235.1)

Last updated on JULY 24, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Symptoms

In NCC (Network Charging and Control) 4.4.0.0+, the "Loops Allowed" checkbox in the Start node of a Control Plan is being set/unset unbeknownst to the user.

If the "Loops Allowed" checkbox is set, it can go by unnoticed.  However if the checkbox becomes unchecked and the Control Plan uses loops, then error messags will pop up upon the compilation/saving of the Control Plan alerting of the loops:

Data is saved - now waiting for compilation report(s).
You may choose to ignore the compiler output.
