Details Of Status Codes As Seen In The Forecast_history Table While the Engine is Running (Doc ID 1565596.1)

Last updated on JUNE 01, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Demantra Real-Time Sales and Operations Planning - Version 7.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer is on 7.3.0.1 and has Engine configured on windows and they would like to use a Windows scheduler to schedule workflows
In order to monitor the status of the said workflow they run a job to query to the forecast_history tables every 10 minutes or so

Per customer while the engine is running, they see that the 'status' column in the forecast_history table changes value like 0,1,2 and -2. Per them, when the engine starts running it starts with -2 then changes to 0 and finally 1 when completed successfully

Customer would like the know meaning of these status while the engine is running

Also if for a reason the engine fails and comes out, the final status would be 0, but how would they verify that this status of 0 is the final status and not the in progress status , that is the engine is running still and hence a status of 0
