Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA), when you run the Table Classification program Batch_Table_Class_Req to classify a new user defined / custom table, you get the following error for the table in FSI_MESSAGE_LOG:

Table <table name>.CUR_BOOK_BAL does not meet the column requirements. Check Column data type
Table <table name> Failed (100)

"100" is the "Portfolio" table classification.  In the Erwin Data Model, you use the PORTFOLIO super entity table to add the Portfolio columns to the custom table.  In the PORTFOLIO super entity, CUR_BOOK_BAL has a domain of BALANCE.  This matches the required data type listed in REV_COLUMN_REQUIREMENTS for CUR_BOOK_BAL which has a REV_DATA_TYPE_CD of 1 (BALANCE).

You do not understand why the table is getting a data type table classification error when the data type is correctly defined in the PORTFOLIO super entity.

Note: You may get this same error for other columns listed in REV_COLUMN_REQUIREMENTS.  This document uses CUR_BOOK_BAL as an example.
