Goal

What causes Warning Message 'No such shift XXX activity XXX is assigned to'?

Now and then we get a situation where an activity is stuck in "Queued for dispatch". When we look into the Scheduler Registry we find this Warning Message and all subsquent activities get blocked from dispatching as well. However, such a crew shift exists and is In Service on MDT but no activities dispatch. To resolve it, since SMAuto is still running, we reboot the Scheduler from the front-end (Amdin > S > Scheduler).

What causes this error?
How can we prevent it?
