How To Set a Custom Delegate Class When Customizing UIM UI (Doc ID 1569676.1)

Last updated on JULY 18, 2013

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Unified Inventory Management - Version 7.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

As transaction management facility is available at the delgate layer, many a time user might have to create custom delegate class to overcome UIM limitation.

For example:

Currently UIM has a limitation of creating maximum of 10000 TN in one call. To enhance the capability of UIM to create more than 10000 TN in one call, that would probably be a user defined value.

To overcome this user can create a custom delegate class CustomTelephoneNumberDelegate which will extend the TelephoneNumberDelegate class. Override the create() method to provide the custom functionality for calling the TelephoneNumberManager.createTelephoneNumber() API multiple times as per the value provided in the Range From and Range To fields.

Note: This document describes how to customize UI to call Custom Delegate class instead of OOB delegate class. It does not provide the implementation of a custom delegate class.
