(Doc ID 1571042.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 17, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.4.0.1.0 to 7.5.0.0.0 [Release 7.4.0 to 7.5.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Incorrect cycle fold calculation in case of plan transition and suspension on the same day.
Product A is configured for "DO NOT USE FOR RATING IF CANCELLED", so it should never be considered while calculating fold for Product B considering that it was cancelled when transitioning from product A to product B.
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
----------------------
A cycle fold event for amount "X+Y" (based on configuration in product A & B) is created, i.e. it is summing the over usage charge for product A to over-usage charge for product B which is incorrect.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
A cycle fold event for amount "Y" (based on configuration in product B) should be created i.e. over-usage charge for product B
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
ALL THE STEPS NEED TO BE PERFORMED ON THE SAME DAY
(1) Create an account with product A.
(2) Consume the entire free bundle on the same day.
(3) Transition to product B on the same day ==> A cycle fold event for amount "X" (based on configuration in product A) is created i.e the over-usage charge for product A.
(4) Consume the entire bundle in product B
(5) Suspend the account
NOTE: The above scenario works fine if transition and cancellation happen on different days.
