RPM Not Doing Recursive Sub-tree Searches within LDAP (Doc ID 1571728.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 28, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Price Management - Version 13.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Oracle Retail Price Management (RPM) does not do recursive sub-tree searches within Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) .

RPM is installed and integrated with Oracle Internet Directory (OID).
It works if setting the BaseDN to the exact OU of the user, but it fails when setting the BaseDN to a lower location to search all OUs with RPM users.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Integrate RPM to OID.
2. Set BaseDN to exact OU of user.  Login is successful.
3. Set BaseDN to a lower OU where it has to do subtree searches.  Login fails.
