No Indexes On Invoice Detail Tables (Doc ID 1571749.1)

Last updated on MARCH 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 to 7.5.0.0.0 [Release 7.5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Qn1: When installing 7.5 there are no indexes created on the invoice detail tables:

Are there no indexes required?

Shouldn't there be at least one index on the poid_id0 or obj_id0?

This is an upgraded system from 7.2.1 to 7.5 PS4. But this is also the same on a fresh new 7.5 set up that is not upgraded.

Used this query below to check the indexes:

SELECT i.table_name
, i.index_name
, ic.column_position
, ic.column_name
FROM user_indexes i JOIN user_ind_columns ic
ON i.index_name = ic.index_name
WHERE i.TABLE_NAME like 'INVOICE_%';

It shows indexes for all invoice tables, but not for the invoice_detail tables.

Qn2: Can these tables be dropped? Will it cause any problem in future upgrade to a new release?
