FTP 6.1 - Redemption Curve UI Issues Defining Percentages (Doc ID 1574778.1)

Last updated on MARCH 27, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Funds Transfer Pricing - Version 6.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure (OFSAAI)
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)

On Oracle Financial Services Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) 6.1, when defining Redemption Curve term point percentages, the user interface (UI) only allows you to enter 4 digits.  In addition, when writing specific percentages like 4.15, OFSAA adds minimum value of 0.0000000000001. In the end the percentages will be higher than 100% which prevents the Transfer Pricing rule from saving.  Similar issues also occur when defining Redemption Curve terms in a Conditional Assumption in the Transfer Pricing rule.

For OFSAA 6.1 version precision varies. In total only four digits can be entered in the percentage box in the OFSAA interface. For example:

This restriction does not allow the use of a percentage like 14.125%.

After entering the percentages, OFSAA creates additional precision digits (`14.1100`) but it does not allow additional precision values to enter needed rates manually.

Expect to be able to define at least four digits after the decimal and should not have any 0.0000000000001 values added to any entered values.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigation -> Financial Services Applications -> Funds Transfer Pricing -> Assumption Specification -> Transfer Pricing Rules
2. Choose any product and choose Transfer Pricing Method: Redemption Curve
3. Add several terms
4. Attempt to define a percentage like 14.125% or any greater precision.
