PASSWD_CLEAR Seems To Be Required By PCM_OP_CUST_CREATE_CUSTOMER and PCM_OP_CUST_PREP_CUSTOMER (Doc ID 1575017.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 24, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 to 7.5.0.0.0 [Release 7.5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Since Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) 7.5 PS4 the PCM_OP_CUST_CREATE_CUSTOMER and the PCM_OP_CUST_PREP_CUSTOMER opcodes fail to properly complete if the PASSWD_CLEAR field is not provided in the opcode input Flist. It is important to understand that this input Flist field should be optional, as the documentation says :

Oracle® Communications Billing and Revenue Management Opcode Flist Reference - Release 7.5 - E23245-05

  1  string    PASSWD_CLEAR In Out
    Use optional
    Parent in.SERVICES

Instead of properly processing the opcode, the following error is reported in the opcode output Flist (here for PCM_OP_CUST_CREATE_CUSTOMER):

Changes

This problem may appear if the system is upgraded to BRM 7.5 PS4.
