OFSAA Web Logs Not Created in the Web Server Deployed Path As Defined in the RevLog4jConfig.xml File (Doc ID 1576106.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure (OFSAAI)
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)
Apache Tomcat

On OFSAAI, on a new install OFSAAI / OFSAAA 6.1, none of the OFSAA Web logs are properly created in the deployed Web Server directory.  No web logs were found in the expected Web Server directory:
<WebLogic Installation>/user_projects/domains/<context>/applications/<context>.ear/<context>.war/logs.  This directory is correctly specified in the
<WebLogic Installation>/user_projects/domains/<context>/applications/<context>.ear/<context>.war/conf/RevLog4jConfig.xml file.  The following error was identified in weblogic nohup.out:

log4j:ERROR Could not parse file [/u01/app/Middleware/user_projects/domains/<domain>/applications/<context>.ear/<context>.war/conf/RevLog4jConfig.xml].
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The markup in the document following the root element must be well-formed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Install OFSAAI
2. Install EPM modules 6.1
3. Check the log files
