Applies to:
Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing - Version 2.4.0.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
This issue is for Customer Care and Billing (CCB) 2.4.0 on Linux x86-64 using Weblogic. Production will be run as a Clustered Native mode.
On reading the OUAF Techincal Best Practices it confirms that the CHILD_JVM_JAVA_HOME must be set to Oracle/Sun JDK.
Thus, there are two possible configurations for JAVA
1. Use Oracle/Sun 64 bit JDK for both online and CHILD_JVM_JAVA_HOME
2. Use JRockit 64 bit for online, use Oracle/Sun 64 bit JDK for CHILD_JVM_HOME
Does option 2 give any advantage over option 1 (e.g. mission control)?
