Goal
Is there any order that need to be followed when mapping SCD tables in SYS_STG_JOIN_MASTER? Is there any dependence on the underpinning column order in the source table or view?
The following is an example of Mapping of DIM_CUSTOMER to DIM_CUSTOMER_V:
MAP_REF_NUM | COL_NM | COL_TYP | STG_COL_NM | SCD_TYP_ID | PRTY_LOOKUP_REQD_FLG | COL_DATATYPE | COL_FORMAT |
10 | F_LATEST_RECORD_INDICATOR | LRI | Y | N | VARCHAR
10 | N_CUST_SKEY | SK | SEQ_DIM_CUSTOMER.NEXTVAL | N | NUMBER
10 | V_D_CUST_REF_CODE | PK | V_D_CUST_REF_CODE | N | VARCHAR
10 | D_RECORD_START_DATE | SD | SD | N | DATE
10 | D_RECORD_END_DATE | ED | 31-DEC-9999 | N | DATE
10 | V_D_CUST_FIRST_NAME | DA | V_D_CUST_FIRST_NAME | N | VARCHAR |
