Symptoms

When starting Job Services (installed as a windows service from the P6 Professional media), the following errors are logged to the Windows Event Viewer:

ERROR
------------
Failed to start Primavera Job Service: PRM DBAccess Error: Connection attempt to database failed with message Missing Database property.
Failed to start Primavera Job Service: The database you are connecting to is not a P6 Professional database.

 

As a result, the Job Service Windows service stops unexpectedly.
