Information in this document applies to any platform.
In Oracle Retail Point of Service 13.3, when performing an Item Inquiry of a UPC-A barcode number, the application displays a "No records were found" message. ORPOS then continues to return the item, but only a portion of the barcode number.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log in to Back Office (BO) and create a new UPC-A item starting with digit '4' or '1' (e.g., 410012240415).
2. Log in to POS.
3. Press F4 Item.
4. Press F2 Inquiry.
5. Press F2 Price.
6. Scan the item (do not enter the item number manually). The following error appears:
No records were found for the search information entered.
Press Enter to return to the previous screen and enter new search criteria.
7. Press Enter. The application navigates back to the Item Entry screen. The UPC-A barcode item number shows a truncated value, with the first digit and final six digits missing (e.g., 010012).
