UIM Server Fails to Start on SSL Port With Error: java.security.cert.CertificateParsingException

Symptoms

UIM 7.1.2 Server unable to start on SSL port using Demo certificates with following errors in the Server startup logs:

<Sep 6, 2013 9:21:52 AM AST> <Notice> <Security> <BEA-090169> <Loading trusted certificates from the jks keystore file /usr/bin/jdk1.5.0_22/jre/lib/security/cacerts.>
<Sep 6, 2013 9:21:52 AM AST> <Error> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000297> <Inconsistent security configuration, java.security.cert.CertificateParsingException: PKIX: Unsupported OID in the AlgorithmIdentifier object: 1.2.840.113549.1.1.11>
<Sep 6, 2013 9:21:52 AM AST> <Emergency> <Security> <BEA-090034> <Not listening for SSL, java.io.IOException: PKIX: Unsupported OID in the AlgorithmIdentifier object: 1.2.840.113549.1.1.11.>

 
Whereas UIM 7.2.x Server will be able to start on SSL port but following messages will be logged to the Server startup logs:

te parsing exception PKIX: Unsupported OID in the AlgorithmIdentifier object: 1.2.840.113549.1.1.11.>
