Symptoms

For Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management (PFT) and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), when running many Allocation and FTP processes simultaneously as part of the processing cycle, after a certain period of time, the processes start doing one of the following:

Sometimes the processes do not created any log files in $FIC_DB_HOME/log/FusionApps.  However, if you set the Debugging Output Level to Show All SQL in Application Preferences, you may get log files that either end suddenly or contain "semget failed" errors.  You also may have to kill the ongoing processes on the server manually.

If you try to re-run the hanging or failed processes individually, they run successfully.  They also run must faster individually.  They just do not all complete successfully when the entire batch is run in parallel.
