Server Side File Checkout Results in Error : "File "1000002.jpg" cannot be copied! - ERROR file >1000002.jpg< server message >FMS-Interface: Error in [Socket COM]: Can't receive response from the FMS client< (Doc ID 1586262.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to check out a file on the server, receiving error

"File "1000002.jpg" cannot be copied! - ERROR file >1000002.jpg< server message >FMS-Interface: Error in [Socket COM]: Can't receive response from the FMS client<

Server Process List does not show running fms client (fms_cli) , because fms-cli crashes immediately

 

STEP TO REPRODUCE:

Prerequisites:
IPv6 enabled in file /etc/netconfig

IPv6 related lines not commented

...
udp6 tpi_clts v inet6 udp - -
tcp6 tpi_cots_ord v inet6 tcp - -

1. Connect to Linux e6122 server with JavaClient

2. Create a simple LGV "TEST/SrvChkOut"
procedure with following content:
10 RES=@xfile_chk_out("C /SERVER=#SERVER /DISCPATH=/tmp /FILE=1000002.jpg")

Note:
System -> Other Parameters > Configuration Parameter
"EDB-FMS-ALLOWED-PATHS contains already predefined parameter to allow using the /tmp directory
therefore no additional parameter is necessary here


3. Open EDB-DOC-FIL-RLS menu and create a new selection "EDB-TEST-SEL-01"
with text "ServerSideCheckOut", userexit "lgv_sel_run" and Parameter
"TEST/SrvChkOut"

4. Create a new document and checkin / assign a jpg file.

5. On files tab select the newly checked in jpg file.

6. Execute context menu selection "ServerSideCheckOut".

7. Receive error
