Symptoms

Running Oracle Retail Price Management (RPM ) 13.2.5.

Multibuy and threshold promotions created on the itemlist level do not ring correctly in the Point of Service (POS).
And Multibuy promotions created at dept level (having more than one dept) are not ringing correctly in POS.

Scenario 1:

  1. Login to RPM.

  2. Navigate to Promotions-> Create Promotions and create a multibuy promotion with the below parameters.

              Buy 5 get for 15% off. Qualification = Qty, value = 5
Buy List Items: One Buy List defined – All items in Dep A and Dep B – Saved at merch levels Apply
              Reward to: 'All Buy Lists'
              Reward type : percent off
              Reward value: 15

       3.  Approve the promotion.

       4.  Run RPMtoORPOSPublishBatch and RPMtoORPOSPublishExport Batch

Notice that POS activates the promotion only when the qty 5 is bought from both the departments due to incorrect qty tag in the xml.

Scenario 2:

  1. Login to RPM.

  2. Navigate to Promotions-> Create Promotions and create a multibuy promotion with the below parameters.

              Buy 5 get for 15% off. Qualification = Qty, value = 5
Buy List Items: One Buy List defined – Itemlist (having items I1,I2,I3)

              Reward value: 15

       3.  Approve the promotion.

       4.  Run RPMtoORPOSPublishBatch and RPMtoORPOSPublishExport Batch

Notice that multiple source ID's are sent to ORPOS (one for each SKU).
ORPOS will only give a discount when the customer purchase 5 of the same SKU and hence cannot mix and match SKU to meet the 5 unit qualification.

Scenario 3:

  1. Login to RPM.

  2. Navigate to Promotions-> Create Promotions and create a threshold promotion with the below parameters.

Threshold is buy N of X get $off. Threshold set to threshold level. Buy 5 qty of Itemlist (having items I1,I2,I3) and get amount off $1.

       3.  Approve the promotion.

       4.  Run RPMtoORPOSPublishBatch and RPMtoORPOSPublishExport Batch

Notice that multiple source ID's are sent to ORPOS (one for each SKU).
ORPOS will only give a discount when the customer purchase 5 of the same SKU and hence cannot mix and match SKU to meet the 5 unit qualification.
