Goal
Patch 14101323:R12.WIP introduces new Profile named 'WIP: Align Job Dates with Shift Calendar' having possible values as Yes/No with a default value of 'Yes'.
Customer observed with the new profile, if the date on planned work orders is fall on block date/nonworking day in main calendar for the org (like AB01, AB50), the completion date at wip job will get pushed out by a day if we set the profile to NO; however if we set the profile to YES, then the completion date will pull in by a day if the date on planned work orders is fall on block date.
Customer expectation is, whenever there is block date/non-working day in the calendar, the wip scheduling should pull in the date and showing one day earlier than the block date (rather than showing later date). We observed this difference while setting profile to Yes and No. If you set the profile to Yes then the completion date will pull in by one day if the date is fall on block date.
Please refers to below for more details.
(AB50) Business scenario: Block Date is on 03-Oct-2012
With the profile set to No, releasing planned orders from planning instance, our completion date is fall on 04-Oct-2012.
