html2ps Does Not Evaluate JavaScript in Invoices (Doc ID 1588310.1)

The html2ps perl script, which is required by dm_email to print invoices, is not evaluating javascript syntax, as indicated in the sample xsl invoice template.  

For example, having an invoice template based on the sample xsl, which includes a call to the function "format_date":

when the html invoice is generated, it includes the correctly formatted date for billinfo/mod_t but when this is converted to post script using html2ps, the field is blank.
