The DURATION_CHARGED EDR field is Incorrect For Data Sessions
(Doc ID 1588989.1)
Last updated on APRIL 07, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 5.0.0 to 5.0.2 [Release 5.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC/NCC), all releases that have the DURATION_CHARGED tag in the Event Data Record (EDR).
DURATION_CHARGED field in the EDR for data sessions should present a relevant duration (e.g. the duration corresponding to the data session volume consumed by the session).
However, the DURATION_CHARGED field in the EDR for data sessions presents a duration which appears to be a random value.
This field is populated irrespective of the real data session's length or volume, in the same EDR it is possible to have e.g. DURATION=2264.40 and DURATION_CHARGED=7.0
