Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 to 7.5.0.0.0 [Release 7.5.0]Linux x86-64
Goal
An user has recently migrated from 7.2.1 to 7.5 and currently testing the billing process. When attempting to run billing for a large account in an upgraded 721 to 75 on Exalogic, there was performance issues.
The performance of the billing process was rather slow (currently 20-50 bills per minute), the main observation was that although Connection Manager (CM) threads were active, only 1-2 were active working on DataBase (DB) at a time.
Please help to understand the root cause and improve system performance. Also, please suggest better configuration numbers based on the total number of transaction processed through this CM and/or Data Manager (DM) flow.
The followings are the current configuration:
=================================
pin_billd/pin.conf
- pin_billd children 5
- pin_mta children 12
- pin_bill_accts children 40
dm_oracle/pin.conf
