Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) Infrastructure, when you try to upload a data model, the process fails and errors like the following exist in the Model Upload log:

This column <column name> of table <table name> is mapped under the
Source FS_SOURCE in the Definition <database extract name> and hence cannot be dropped.

You just deleted the column in the error message from the table before uploading the data model.  You also un-mapped the column from the Database Extracts as described in <Document 1509817.1> "Data Model Upload Failed with Column is Mapped in T2T".  You confirmed the column is removed from the <extract name>.mapping.xml file in /<ftpshare>/<Infodom>/erwin/Sources.  However, even after un-mapping the column from the database extracts, you still get the error above during the model upload.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to Unified Metadata Manager
  2. Go to Data Integrator > Warehouse Designer > Database Extracts
  3. Select the Database Extract
  4. Under Source - Target Mapping, select the column to un-map and click the "Unmap" button.
  5. Save the change.
  6. Re-run the model upload

The model upload process fails with the error above.
