Control Plans with Balance Copy Node do not Export/Import Across NCC Installations Correctly (Doc ID 1590984.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 5.0.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Symptoms

On NCC (Network Charging and Control) 5.0.0, the Balance Copy feature node is an optional component which, once installed, adds the ability to copy Wallet balances into a Profile Tag via an ACS (Advanced Control Services) Control Plan.

Here is a screenshot of the node in question:

This particular configuration will store the cumulative General Cash balances, in the system currency, in the Amount profile tag.

When a Control Plan containing this node is exported and imported on a different NCC installation, although the Control Plan compiles successfully, the node parameters are likely to be incorrect and referencing a different Balance Type which causes incorrect balance type values to be copied into profile tags.

Changes

Addition of a Balance Copy node to a Control Plan which is then exported/imported to a different NCC installation.
