Issues Regarding the Performance of Provisioning Interface (PI) Closed User Group (CUG) Commands (Doc ID 1591309.1)

Last updated on MARCH 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 5.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There are several obvious symptoms of the Provisioning Interface (PI) Closed User Group (CUG) commands slowing down as the number of CUG numbers increases:

  1. Adding numbers to CUGs slows as CUGs or numbers are added via CCSCG1=ADD or CCSCG2=ADD.
  2. Querying CUG subscribers via CCSCD1=QRY is slower.
This slow down may also be observed as PI batch files taking longer or the throughput (commands per second) reducing.
