Symptoms

Refresh Collection Snapshots with refresh mode of Complete has been running for over 48 hours without completing..

The following SQL was used to locate the request's temporary log file:

The above SQL allowed the DBA to locate the temporary log file for the Refresh Collection Snapshots request.

The contents looked like:

04-SEP 11:23:20 : The beginning of Refresh Snapshot
04-SEP 11:23:20 : Standalone RCS - no instance details
04-SEP 11:23:20 : Waiting for all other runs to finish

If your temporary log file contains these messages, then the solution delivered in the patch below will resolve the issue.

STEPS
1. Run Refresh Collection Snapshots

Changes

 Upgrade to  VCP 12.1.3.9 <Patch.16974659> or <Patch 17350769> - VCP 12.1.3.9.1 PATCH
