Different NCC Alarms Being Relayed with Alarm ID 151330
(Doc ID 1592704.1)
Last updated on MARCH 27, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.0 and laterOracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Symptoms
In NCC (Network Charging and Control) 4.4.0+, a problem exists with the IDs of alarms which are relayed from the SMS (Service Management Server) to external alarm management systems via SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).
Instead of a unique ID being allocated to each alarm generated by NCC, an ID of 151330 is being assigned to a large variation of different alarms making it difficult to look up the alarm in the NCC Alarms Guide for steps on how to resolve issues.
Changes
Implementation of SNMP Alarm Relaying to a external alarm management system.
