RUM (Ratable Usage Metrics) Scenario AVP Mapping Issue In OCMC 6.1 (Doc ID 1593873.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 to 7.5.0.0.0 [Release 7.5.0]
Oracle Communications Online Mediation Controller - Version 6.1.0 to 6.1.0 [Release 6.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

OCMC 6.1 is looking for the reserved quantity in the PIN_FLD_RUM_MAP field of the PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_AUTHORIZE and PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_UPDATE_AND_REAUTHORIZE responses.
However BRM only returns PIN_FLD_RUM_MAP field in a multi-RUM(Ratable Usage Metrics) scenario. For BRM implementation not using the multi-RUM scenario, the reserved quantity is thus returned in the PIN_FLD_QUANTITY field of the PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_AUTHORIZE and PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_UPDATE_AND_REAUTHORIZE responses for a volume based usage.
For single-RUM scenario, OCMC should look for the reserved quantity in the PIN_FLD_QUANTITY field of the PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_AUTHORIZE and PCM_OP_TCF_AAA_UPDATE_AND_REAUTHORIZE responses for a volume based usage.
