Receiving Security Warning Since Java Updates (6u45 and 7u21), Prints Warning "This application will be blocked in a future Java security update because the JAR file manifest does not contain the Permissions attribute" (Doc ID 1599473.1)

Since Java updates (6u45 and 7u21), the Java Webstart console

prints warnings about missing attributes "Permissions" and "Codebase" for each downloaded JAR file.


the Java release notes contain remarks that such JAR files might be rejected in future versions of Java.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Configure Java WebStart to show the console (Windows Java Control panel)

2) Start the Java client via WebStart link

3) As soon as the client is starting up after the download has finished, the
console starts to print warnings:

 Missing Permissions manifest attribute for:

 Missing Codebase manifest attribute for:

This repeats for all JARs.


Update Java Version to 6u45 or higher and 7u21 or higher
