Application Hangs On Receipted Return After Clicking On Enter Button On Message prompt (Doc ID 1600672.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to return items for a transaction id which exists for multiple business days, “There are too many possible matches to display. Press Enter to continue and return items without receipt.” is displayed and the application hangs when cashier presses the 'Enter' button; the following error is reported in the client log file.

 

Prerequisite:


1. Change the 'ReturnMaximumMatches' in application to '5'.
2. There are more than 5 transactions with the same number exist in the system across multiple business days.

Steps to reproduce:


1. Log into Point-Of-Service
2. (F2) Return
3. (F2) Receipted Return
4. Enter Receipted Information

ORPOS will prompt with the following message
“There are too many possible matches to display.
Press Enter to continue and return items without receipt.”

Press Enter and note that application hangs at this point
