Export and import OSM model data and a single order from a large database schema. (Doc ID 1600747.1)

Last updated on JUNE 15, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Order and Service Management - Version 7.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This document outlines how to replicate an OSM schema with a single order from a large schema. Exporting a large schema, with hundreds of thousands or millions of orders, can be impractical because of its size, the time it takes, and resources it requires to export. In certain cases, when analysis is required for a single known order, it is more feasible to selectively export the specific order.

Note: The steps and procedures outlined in this KM Note are for import/export purposes only.  They are not to be used for other activities like system back up and restore.  For example executing the om_exp_imp_util_pkg.purge_model procedure without a model export to restore the data will result in a non functioning OSM schema. For more information on how to back up and restore see the "Order and Service Management System Administrator's Guide".
