Goal
While analyzing the alert logs and database trace file of our Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) database, we noticed 'deadlocks' and concurrency problems.
Issues addressed by the patches below are identified by system logging which includes the following:
TPW log

'ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified or timeout expired''
'FATAL (scheduler.process.SchedulerEventsUpdate_ISD) Failed to process schedule update, rolling back transaction'
'Failed to process registry entry'
'ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for resource'
'Could not synchronize database state with session'

'enq: TX - row lock contention' as a top event involving SQL updates to M1_TASK and M1_SCHED_REG
