Goal
I want to setup email address domain rewriting where if an e-mail is addressed to user@DOMAIN1, it will get rewritten to user@DOMAIN2. I have tried adding a mailalternateaddress in the user's account and then pointed the MX record for the new domain directly at the sun mail server, but this does not work.
- All users that come in on domain1 need to be written to domain2.
- We would like this rewriting done on both inbound and outbound.
- This is part of a migration away from Oracle Communications Messaging Server to Office 365 / Exchange Online. The domain in use on the Sun/Oracle mail server will be used on a different (new) server but we want to be able to route mail to the sun mail server during migration. As such, we want to use a second domain on the sun mail server, and setup MX records to forward that domain to the sun mail server.
- domain2 is not provisioned with LDAP.
- We are using schema 1.
How can we accomplish this?
