For Store Order functionality in Store Inventory Management (SIM), there can be errors that Retail Merchandising System (RMS) may throw while validating the store orders, and as a result certain retek business exceptions occur. This exception is not visible to the SIM users, as a generic error message is displayed for any retek business exception that RMS raises.
This error does not provide a normal user much information about the error or any kind of validation that the transaction has failed. In addition, all users may not have the rights to access the sim.log (application level log files). Hence, trying to take corrective action for the error can be a cumbersome and confusing aspect for the user in the context of Store Orders functionality.
This document provides instructions on how customers can develop a solution or a workaround to obtain specific error messages instead of the generic error message as mentioned above.
