How to populate a String order data element in a Manual Task with the value of the user that is being edited in the order ?

The Customer needs to capture the user that performs the manual task on the order data, so that they can assign a subsequent manual task to that same user.
The User added a hidden data element to the manual task, and with a behavior (i.e. Calculate) populating the field with the value of the user that has accepted the task.

Using an XPATH on calculate, the  customer can get to the elements on the XMLAPI (for instance: /GetOrder.Response/OrderID), but according to the XMLAPI XSD there are no element that contains the current user.
Is there another way to populate the Order Data element in a Manual Task?
