Rolling Snoop Archive Capture File Directories are not Removed for the Month of October (Doc ID 1609536.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.1 to 5.0.2 [Release 4.4 to 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The rolling snoop snoop_archiver.sh script archives the current snoop capture files and and removes old directories containing old archived files, as per its KEEP_DAYS variable configuration.  However, old archive directories are not removed for the month of October.  This results in snoop archive capture files being kept for longer than expected and filling up disk space.

Rolling snoop archive directories are date-time stamped YYYYMMDD-hhmmssTZ; for example, 20131001-045901GMT (1st October 2013).  When snoop_archiver.sh runs, if the directory name month (MM) is equal to 10 (October), then no archive directories are matched, and hence are not being removed.
