Till Reconciliation Fails in Back Office 12.0 When Transaction Sequence Number Generated Is More Than 9999: "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid transactionSequence Length" (Doc ID 1611224.1)

Symptoms

While performing the till reconciliation operation from Back Office (BO) 12.0.x, the below exception appears in the logs and the till reconciliation flow can not be completed. 


Steps to Reproduce:

  Pre-requisite:  Ensure the Back Office transaction sequence number is set as greater than or equal to 9999.

  1. Perform a sale transaction on Point of Service (POS).
  2. Close the till.
  3. Login to BO.
  4. Click Store Ops.
  5. Enter the Register/Till number.
  6. Enter the float amount.
  7. Enter the Cash/Check etc. detail in the Count Reconcile Summary screen.
  8. Click Next.

  Observation:  Below message is displayed on the screen, and java.lang.IllegalArgumentException appears in the log.
