Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Does First Expired First Out (FEFO) logic apply at the time of picking?  Can multiple Forward Pick Locations (FPLs) be set up for the same item with priority depending on the Best Before Date (BBD), and not specific to the pick sequence?

For example, 3 Forward Case Picking (FCP) locations are linked to same item x with details as:
   FPL 1 – pick seq as 1, capacity 100, unit qty = 100, Mixed BBD Jan 2015
   FPL 2 – pick seq as 2, capacity 100, unit qty = 100, Mixed BBD Dec 2014
   FPL 3 – pick seq as 3, capacity 100, unit qty = 100, Mixed BBD Feb 2015

A Stock Order is created for 50 units.  When the distribution batch is executed, it will generate the pick directive for the location FPL 1, even though an earlier expired item is present in FPL 2.
