Documaker Gendata 12.1 Remains in an Infinite Loop When Using the Staytogether Rule (Doc ID 1611248.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Documaker - Version 12.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Documaker Server, Documaker Studio, Gendata, Gendaw32, STAYTOGETHER Rule, Group Rule, SQL Database, No Error Messages, Debug

Symptoms

Using Documaker Rules Processor, there is a Form that has many Groups and some Groups have the Staytogether feature.  The Staytogether rule triggers Sections that overflow.  When the number of Sections triggered exceed a page, a Staytogether warning will be produced describing that the sections can not fit on the page and Documaker stays in a loop.

With the 11.3 version of Documaker Rules Processing, a warning is received, but Documaker still rendered the Section on a page and would overflow any extra Section on the following page.

Changes

The STAYTOGETHER Group Rule was added to the processing of the environment.
