Gift Certificate Issue Transaction Missing from TR_TRN Table When Overtendered with Another Gift Certificate (Doc ID 1612392.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS) 13.3.x, transactions fail to persist to the ORPOS database when a gift certificate issue transaction is overtendered with another gift certificate, and change due is issued as a new gift certificate.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Select  POS > More > Gift Card/Cert. > Gift Cert.
  2. At the 'Enter the gift certificate number' prompt, enter number 121212 (for example).
  3. At the 'Enter gift certificate amount' prompt, select 30.00 and tender with cash.
  4. Select POS > More > Gift Card/Cert. > Gift Cert.
  5. At the 'Enter the gift certificate number' prompt, enter number 123455 (for example).
  6. At the 'Enter gift certificate amount' prompt, select 20.00. 
  7. Select F6 Tender and at the 'Enter the tender amount' prompt, change the tender amount to 30.00.
  8. Select F6 Gift Cert.
  9. Enter the issuing store number.
  10. Enter the gift certificate number from step 2 above.
  11. At the 'Choose a change due option' prompt, select 'Gift Cert'.
  12. Enter a new gift certificate number to issue change due.

The above transaction is missing from the TR_TRN table in the store database.
