Purchase With End Date Is Crediting Extra Amount

Symptoms
When purchasing a deal backdating to a date prior to last bill run date and set end date in future, an extra credit event is getting created.
Below are the steps to reproduce:
1. Current PVT is 7-Dec-2013
2. Purchase a deal ($7.5/month recurring) on an account having Billing DOM as 4th (Billing happened on 4th Dec) back dating to 27-Nov-2013 and set Purchase, Cycle and usage end date as 12-Dec-2013.
3. Goto Balance tab of Customer center and check Bill in progress events. 4 events were created as -
i) 27-Nov to 4-Dec (for $1.75; charges for previous cycle)
ii) 4-Dec to 4-Jan (for $7.5; charges for next cycle)
iii) 12-Dec to 4-Jan (for -$5.56; credit for partial cycle after end date i.e. 12-Dec)
iv) 27-Nov to 4-Dec (for -$1.75; Invalid credit event)
Extra credit event got created for $1.75 for a period 27-Nov to 4-Dec.
