Last updated on MAY 12, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Knowledge - Version 8.5.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

The installation and configuration of Oracle Knowledge within a WebLogic Domain which is distributed across multiple servers is not a trivial task. This article aims to provide some notes that will give the greatest chance of success and that can be adapted to meet specific requirements. However in the event of having limited experience in the installation, operation and configuration of WebLogic there is training available at the Oracle University. Similarly for Oracle Knowledge. In addition it may be helpful to consider engaging Oracle Consultancy Services who are well versed in the installation and configuration of OK deployed within WebLogic.

Scope

It is recommended that those attempting to perform such an installation should have had training in the installation, configuration and operation of Oracle Knowledge and Weblogic. Training is available from the Oracle University.

The notes provided in this document are not prescriptive nor exhaustive. They serve only as a high level guide and should be read in conjunction with published documentation for Oracle Knowledge and Weblogic.

These notes were prepared with specific reference to Oracle Knowledge v8.5.1 installation.
