Impurge Cored On Shutdown of Messaging Server

Oracle Communications Messaging Server 7u4-27.01, running on Solaris 10 (Sparc).
On a planned restart of the Messaging service, a core dump happened on the impurge process.
The following stack trace could be seen when using pstack on the core file:
Other daemons also core dumped (imapd), but the cores were incomplete.
