PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_SET_PRODINFO Is Not Passing PIN_FLD_NODE_LOCATION For Upgraded Cycle Forward Events (Doc ID 1622121.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 17, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version to [Release 7.5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On: BRM 7.5 PS6 (upgraded from BRM 7.2.1).

When setting the cycle fee end date via PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_SET_PRODINFO for a product purchased before upgrade (i.e., in BRM 7.2.1 then system upgraded to BRM 7.5), the cycle forward event is not generated. Same scenario works just fine where product was purchased after the upgrade.

Note as PIN_FLD_NODE_LOCATION field existed in BRM 7.2.1 events but it got obsoleted in BRM 7.5.

Expected behaviour

Cycle forward event should be created regardless when the product is purchased (prior or after upgrade).

Replication Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Purchase a cycle forward product in BRM release 7.2.1 for an account.
2. After upgrade to BRM 7.5, set the product cycle fee end date with PCM_OP_SUBSCRIPTION_SET_PRODINFO to day's date.
